Neoarius graeffei, the blue salmon catfish, salmon catfish, or lesser salmon catfish, is a species of catfish in the genus Neoarius. It is found in the freshwater rivers of Australia and Papua New Guinea. The species is a stout dusky grey catfish often with a bluish tinge and occasionally irregular blotches, a rounded and slightly truncate snout, and a relatively small eye. Blue Catfish have venomous serrated fin spines that may inflict a very painful wound (fishesofaustralia.net).
