The rainy season has begun here, and last night we had a long, heavy rain with lightening. My Girlfriend told me that lightening is supposed to make mushrooms grow, so we went to look for them, and did see more than usual. I thought this was probably just due to the rain, but it looks like there is something to lightening encouraging mushroom growth according to this article: http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2010/04/100409-lightning-mushrooms-japan-harvest/
