As shown in the observation below, there is a way to identify R. obtusifolius. and R. crispus. using seedheads, which i had figured out but others may want to learn.

essentially obtusifolius has spikier seeds than crispus is what is shown and the seeds take a different shape. additionally obtusifolius has deeper veining on the seed heads.
so yah! feel free to use this for whatever!

Maybe you’ll become famous for this. Is this a new discovery by you? I wish I had seeds of both species but I don’t have curly dock, I think.
