I'm Jeff, just someone that has been afoot and afield around San Diego for a long time.
Retired from engineering R&D.
I used to be a dedicated hiker, climber, and canyoneer, John Muir Trail, Grand Canyon rim2rim2rim, Zion Narrows with my fam, Buckskin Gulch, Mystery Canyon. Many crossings of the Sierras, many Fourteeners climbing and hiking.

But Oaks are on my mind right now.
"An oak’s identity is revealed not just by its leaves, but by the shape of its acorns, the texture of its bark, and the spread of its branches—while the shade of a great oak tells the story of resilience and time, offering shelter across generations"
