~2yo N. erythrogaster caught in Waller Creek, coiled in between the knuckles of a cypress knee and under a leafy branch.
Found along Waller Creek on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin. this snake was climbing in a small bush about 2 feet off of the ground. Waller Creek has a high concentration of Nerodia erythrogaster, and only a few obsoletus specimen have been found here.
