Description
About 3-4 meters from shore along the right bank of the Suriname River near the indigenous village of Pierre Kondre Kumbasi. It grew on the forest floor between the leaf litter. The general area is a coarse (kwartz) white sand savanna area. The river bank has riverine vegetation in sandy clays.

Description
A first for the UK ~ Bird was taken into care and sadly died in the night only weighing 50g ~ I believe the average is about 86g. Sad end to an incredible journey!

Amata hubneri is a day flying moth in the superfamily Actiinae of tiger
moths and woolly bears. It is the smallest species in its genus. It can be found all over Singapore and most of Southeast Asia and yet little is known about its ecology and life cycle. In addition it is a member of a phylogenically uncertain and continually changing branch of the tree of life which obscures what information there actually is. Description
Mollugo nudicaulis is one of the few tropical species with a rosette growth habit. The whole plant is glabrous. The leaves are spatulate. From the center of the rosette emerges several stalks with inflorescences in cymes. The flowers are small and white. The fruit is a capsule containing numerous black seeds.
