It looks like a Kunzea species from the bark and habit. It is in a thermal region. This could help an ID. Grows on a cliff.
A clump grows in a swamp with some surface water, with no competition for light, about 2 m diameter, waist (sometimes shoulder) high, with culms as long as 2 m, 3 mm diameter or less. You can see the following: Culms ridged. Culms dull. Pith with large cavities. Basal sheath blackish to red-brown to straw at the top. Capsule about equal to tepals.
