Here's a tiny Lasioglossum inside an Agapanthus blossom. It's interesting that this pollen looks very coarse, both on the anther and on the bee's hind leg.

First time I've seen and heard a bumble bee using vibration pollination! Her buzzing changed to a high pitch, wings were still after she lit on the partridge pea flower.

I observed another insect in this flower and I have not identified it yet. It turned out there was a second insect in the same flower that was underneath and covered with pollen. It appeared there was a struggle with the first seen insect and the first insect escaped. These pictures are the last in a series showing the insect that was underneath all the pollen coming out after the other insect escaped. Not sure of the ID because it is so pollen covered. Sure is a lot of activity that goes on inside of flowers.

I'm not sure if this is right It might be an Acom blue. This was the first butterfly I was able to get a good picture of. It was also one of the very few I was able to get a pic of. All the butterflies I tried to take pics of today would not stay still.

On this day that I visited the field site, I noticed that most of the butterflies was already been born. The scenery was beautiful on a bright sunny afternoon with dozens of butterflies flying around. I was able to distinguish these butterflies with my Biology Professor.
