Eating the detached and moving tail of a Scincella lateralis
Really cool observation of a copperhead in a hunting position. Most likely looking for lizards that are crossing or basking in the area. I think some others saw a couple species of sceloporus so that's what I would expect its waiting on.
Eating a catfish
Saw this in the Barton 360 parking lot as I got out of my car. A group of people was already looking at it but the snake was not bothered. I didn't see any movement from the rodent so I'm assuming it was dead at this point. I came back a couple hours later and both were gone without a trace.
Individual with head on center left portion of the bucket, more extended neck. All 3 found under the same pile of fence wood.
Snake was in the middle of the dirt road
Found after a short heavy rain. Temperature dropped from 62 during the rain and up to 66 about an hour after the rain when this toad was found.
Gastrophryne with tarantula
Thought the bird was stuck in a net/line, went to help and saw that a snapper had it by the leg
