Description
The organism being observed in this picture are the leaves growing on the trunk of the tree. It does not look like the leaves are apart of the tree but it is growing on the tree. Additionally, these leaves were also surrounded by moss which was also growing on the tree. These trees were found on a sidewalk in Wesley Chapel Florida.
This plant (the resurrection fern) seems to be flourishing by feeding off the plant and getting its nutrients from the plant.

Description
There are two in the photo. The end of the thinner one was the width of only a few strands of hair. It was moving and probing the board at the time the photo was taken. The smaller one looked a little like a moving udon noodle. Photo is on a 2x6” board laid out by workmen in the area. A third one of these is partially visible in the second photo, bottom left, end stretched far out.
