Ergots from observation https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/201898440 were stratified in freezer and in september placed in flowerpot in garden. The fruitbodies started growing in january, the growth is very slow.
Uv fluorescent cystidia. Found on decaying wood debris and on ground underneath
Syn. (Hypocrea leucopus) Fruiting in moss/needle litter under Douglas fir, Western red cedar and Western hemlock(2000ft elevation). Harvested and dried for home herbarium collection.
