Was just photographing some ovipositing saddlebags when a fish came up and snagged the male! I've seen fish eat dragonflies before, but was never lucky enough to capture it.

Description
This photo of a female Zabulon Skipper represents the first confirmed record for Maine. We have been expecting this species to show up in Maine because Zabulon Skipper is pretty well established in coastal New Hamphire. I also saw three males but was unable to get photos of them.

Photo prise lors d'un inventaire de cocons de Saturniidae :
Six cocons trouvés :
- Les trois premiers dans le même cerisier. Le premier (photo) était occupé par une chrysalide mais il fut impossible de déceler un indice de parasitage. Éclosion possible en juin prochain. Le second était trop haut pour être examiner et le troisième était un vieux cocon très détérioré.
- Le quatrième, toujours dans un cerisier, était trop haut pour être examiner.
- Quant au deux derniers, ils étaient dans un tout petit cerisier, près du sol. Tous les deux sans chrysalide et sans indice de parasitage. Possible éclosion l'été dernier.
