Description
Found a small patch of these in a hemlock dominated cluster of seeps. Many Craterellus tubaeformis, including right next to where I found these specimens. Growing in out of moss at the edge of one seep where it was still very moist.
They smell strongly like chanterelles with a touch of perfume, very similar what I believe I identified as Craterellus luteocomus earlier this year.
Stems are hollow, the older specimen is displaying the “two legs” like C. tubaeformis.
Cap of the older specimen is 1.5 inches in diameter and is a light grey/brown
Gills are white and look like folds or wrinkles rather than ridges.
The mature specimen is a slight bit darker on close inspection.

Description
This Coyote was feeding off a White-tailed Deer carcass near on the shingle bar on the lake side of the lagoon. The deer's antlers were tangled in the tree but I don't know if that happened before or after death. The coyote would pull off some meat then retreat into the cover. (Seen from across the lagoon from the Knoll boardwalk.)
