This stunning moth was found near the playground at Shades Mountain Baptist Church. It was laying flat against a brick wall, not being sneaky in the slightest.

Description
Sleeping. Telephone pole that it had earlier pecked out a nice hole, not large enough to go into, but enough to hide the head and sleep. We also saw it here 3 days earlier.

Description
I watched for approx 15 to 20 min as this wasp first opened up the curled leaf/silk hideaway in an oak to finally extract this caterpillar. Really neat! You could hear the crunching (which is why I noticed). At first, could not figure out why a wasp would be taking a leaf off an oak, but eventually saw the rolled/silken leaf and figured it found a caterpillar. Wasp worked hard for that caterpillar!
