Description
I found this crawfish in the middle of a trail at Five Rivers Environmental Education Center in Delmar NY. It was about 2m from water. The mussels were attached to its feet so much that I could not remove them without fear of ripping off its legs! It was still able to walk around. I am very curious if anyone has any thoughts on what’s going on and the species involved.
