Description
Albino milkweed, back for another year! First sighting of the season, much of the others in the colony are already waist high. Only one stalk so far, pure white, no signs of speckle or splotches. Same location as previous years, part of the volunteer swath invading open cut meadow area from overgrown pasture forest borderland. (Anyone know, is there a way to link observations of the same specimen? Should I be updating a single entry or posting a new one?)

Super weird bifurcated leaf. Only one pair of opposite leaves was like this, all others were normal. Common milkweed is all over the dune in this area. If you are looking to find it, walk the official dune crossings in this area and look for it on the south side of the path.
