Stunned (but still alive) chimney swift after being chased by four Mississippi kites and accidentally slamming into a front door across the street. We let it rest in a box in a dark room for several hours and released it (to be immediately chased again by a kite, but at least it had a chance to recover).

Between 18:50 and 19:25 EDT, 10,000+ chimney swifts flew into the chimney on the NE corner of the Stevens Center, as seen from the 17th floor of the Nissen Bldg. The birds congregated in tightening swirls near the chimney and then flew inside in bursts at a rate of up to 20/sec. This went on for about 30 minutes. Last evening in a similar show, a peregrine falcon caught one. They begin to emerge around 07:30 am, but spread out over much more time.
