Cassowary at Lync-Haven, Daintree, Queensland
This beauty was sunning herself in the shallows at low tide. I watched her for about twenty minutes -- she'd sit still right near the bank of the canal for a few minutes, then flap her wings and disappear into the abyss, only to return a few minutes later. She repeated this at least three times.
