Description
Mohawk Lynx Spider based on observation
The individual was around ~15mm long and was first observed suspended on a single line of webbing between two plants. It had a notably broad and squarish cephalothorax, and most distinctively a dorsal horn-like bristle structure just above its face. The spider was brown, and had pale striations all along its body but more prominently on its abdomen.
Unfortunately the individual was able to escape before any photos could be documented.
Existing literature indicates that the genus classification Hamadruas is provisional, and proper determination is not yet possible until a male specimen can be obtained.

Description
Growing on sandy soil in full sun. Abundant along a short stretch of coastline.
Prostrate or straggling habit; 7- or 9-foliate leaves; tiny pea flowers under 1 cm long; hairy stems, leaflets, calyx, corolla & legumes; pods with ~8-9 seeds and a prominent curved hook
Computer vision suggested genus Tephrosia for many of these photos. Very intrigued

Description
Found another unusual palm hidden along the edge of SBG rainforest, wouldn't know how it got here. Tried to uncover its identity and came up with an informed guess, but could be off.
On my next walk through SBG it might be interesting to see which species in tribe Caryoteae (Caryota, Arenga, Wallichia) are planted at Palm Valley
