Singular in mixed hardwood, deeply rooted in sand. Oddly flaky/dusty maybe another fungus? Slight chlorine scent.

Veil remnants on cap picked off easily and left no marks on the cap.
This one was a cool one. We almost missed this one; good thing we didn't pass up this thing. This was one I think I might have seen when I was younger but I am not quite sure. I just love the way the second photo looks. I have come a little way as in terms of getting the bottoms of fungi and things. I used to not disturb them; then I found a iNaturalist video on YouTube that taught me about the ethics of mushroom and fungus photography. Now I don't have that much of a problem with it. Still this was a very interesting mushroom.
