Description
I hear PWs all the time at the cottage but don't see them very often. Yesterday morning, I saw one in a red pine in front of the cottage. An hour or two later, one flew into the kitchen window. It sat stunned for a good 20 minutes or so before flying off. Hopefully, no unrecoverable injury.

Snake was nestled in the branches of a Cedar Tree alongside the Beach Trail about 50 feet behind the dune lines. Snake was very curious, and did not attempt to flee. Snake was about 24" long.

Thunder Bay Bogs nature trail, Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. In poorly drained community over shallow bedrock. Looked for this plant, considered rare on the Ottawa National Forest, for years and never found it, but this population was right along the trail.

Description
I have a 100 gallon tub of water near my house so wildlife can drink. Just as it was getting dark a short while ago something caught my eye and this small White-tailed buck came to drink. Somehow this fella got a plastic jug caught up in his velvet antlers...I hope he can get it off. I had to chuckle at this sight, however, something I had certainly never seen before. Anyway, he drank some water then trotted away. Hope he will be OK!
