Winding mariposa lily is a native perennial forb common to Arizona and southern Utah. It is distinguished by its flexuous, sinous, twining or scrambling stems. Here Winding mariposa lily often was associated with a species of Hymenopappus. This site lies along highway 89A near the Vermillion Cliffs scenic overview, Coconino County, Arizona.
