Description
This species is a large bunch grass with inflorescences that have multiple branches on which the female flowers are below the male flowers (like corn!). The large seeds form a stack of kernels that disarticulate when dispersed. This specimen was finishing flowering and going to seed. Pressed specimen on newspaper that is about 2’x1.5’.
