Common Raccoon (Procyon lotor)Observer

Not sure what’s going on, still has some slightly darker markings along its back and tail but most of this raccoon was completely white. Dark eyes and nose, dark fur greatly reduced but not absent makes me think leucism or possibly depigmentation vs albinism. If anyone can offer any insight into this, I’d love to hear it! Not great photos but side profile helps; it was definitely a raccoon.

This was a very unexpected find; I haven’t come across any other reports of porcupines in the Ark City area or even Cowley county.
Unable to observe or photograph the animal itself; quills were removed from neighbor’s dog’s face and photographed. The dog was loose and unsupervised at time of encounter so location is approximate to within a half mile radius.
