Help, is this a bilateral gynandromorph?? I found this individual on the ground, not being able to fly very well. It fluttered and kept falling. I only ask because its wings are two different sizes, the one is smaller than the other (left) though it is hard to tell due to the photos (it moved its wing down.) I’m just wondering if it is a possibility, since I cannot tell males and females apart. Moved it to a safer grassy spot after pictures.

No idea what this is, saw it sticking to a douglas fir cone. It’s about 3-4mm, bright pink, didn’t appear to have movement, but looked curved while attached. Any ideas? Plant matter or some kind of insect larvae? It felt somewhat squishy when I lightly touched it.
