Visited again today mainly to find a good location to search for signs of bears or possibly even see one in the evening. Had to cut things short due to approaching thunderstorms around 4pm. Saw this plant on my drive out.

Description
A solo visit to search for the Speckled Pigeon (first record for Florida; a new exotic) that was photographed on the boardwalk here yesterday. Shortly after I arrived, Vicki Bachner showed up, then Vince Capp, and finally Frank Garcia, who found the pigeon yesterday. The weather at the start was clear, 73 degrees ("feels like" 73), with calm winds. Initially, I stayed with the others at the end of the boardwalk, but eventually I started roaming, at first close by, and then I walked the nature trail. The others had gone by the time I returned to the boardwalk. I walked around the shelters nearby for 10 more minutes. I left at 1031, by which time it was 90 degrees ("feels like" 95 -- but it seemed hotter than that).
