I have no idea what this is. It was dead when I found it so I stuck it in ethanol and have it in a jar. It has an opening on either side and is squishy. Sea cuke? Worm?
Edit — I believe it’s Stilbarobdella macrothela

Briefly taken out of water to photograph, was released afterwards. Was found under the docks at low tide, likely got stranded from the last high tide.

I think this is a big headed sea Robin! Unsure so I left it uncategorized. He looked a little scary at first until we saw him move. Beautiful wings, not scared! I’m about 20-24” of salt water. LOTS of hermit crabs and other small shiner type fish around.

I know these photos are terrible but he was much faster than I am! He was in water too deep for me to chase after him. Found him in about 24” of water, but when he saw me he bolted to deeper waters. What a treat to see him! I am almost certain it was an Atlantic brief but I could be mistaken.

We found this in the Outer Banks at the beach washed up and weren’t sure what exactly it was. We took it to a local rehabilitation/educational aquarium to see if they could help figure out what it is. Some of them said it looks like some sort of vertebrae, but weren’t certain and suggested this app. I didn’t know if any of you knew, if you need more photos I will gladly provide some more.

This bone was found on the beach by someone and I'm trying to help identify it. The piece is roughly 5-6 inches across, roughly half an inch thick, and about 3 inches high in the middle point. I am led to believe this is part of a sea turtle carapace but I am not certain. Would love to see if anyone has any suggestions!
