Believe it may be a Flycatcher but could definitely be wrong as I've never seen one before. Only saw it for a moment as it flew away but appeared to be black all along its back. Thought it sounded somewhat insect or frog-like as it was high-pitched but with a slight croak/buzz. It was low in a tree right by a lake, path, and birdwatching tower singing very short songs repeatedly.
Royal Spoonbill was sitting in the middle of an island in a pond full of Magpie Geese. The Spoonbill was in full breeding plumage and grooming its feathers. A Spoonbill was also in a tree on the island a few hours earlier and may have been the same one.

Rare treat walking the dog this morning. About 20 Carnaby’s in Macfaull Park. Birds feeding on pine cones and adults feeding young. First time I have observed a Carnaby’s drinking from a bird bath in a nearby garden.
