Found in Rhododendron flats. Unsure about which specific species it is.
Was found on a rocky cliff. Didn’t look quite like a polytrichum moss and leaves were a little plump. Was growing on a rock, and therefore possibly a stonecrop.
Evidence of white pine blister rust as seen on needles and chewing of branches from rodents.
Bright red berries, leaves with prominent parallel veins. Found in densely forested area at subalpine elevation in the Engelmann Spruce-Subalpine Fir Biogeoclimatic zone.
