Big Mama out for a stroll past. She has been around for a long time & getting slower. She pays no attention to either me or the dog...Good to see she is still around & residing in my bay. (She used to reside in the main lodge at the far end of the little lake.Several years back she decided to move down to this end..which is fine by me...She's safer here). She hasn't done any major 'logging' anymore...satisfied with the many tiger alders in the wetland area, & I'm happy to see her cut 'em down, because they sure do tend to take over otherwise!!
Only have the juveniles left....(& this morning I had over 50 of them on the deck!!!)
Post is for the squirrel
(Buddy)
This one too timid to come over
No idea which one this was
'Buddy' (scruffy bib)
'Buddy' making up for not being around for a couple of days!
Here's 'Smoothie' ( has a smooth lined bib). He has gotten very good at choosing the largest peanut piece too!!!
(4)..they were waiting in my bay, however they didn't come over to feed until I moved away. Not the usual 4
The usual large group of Geese waaay across the bay near the beaver lodge.
Sun was setting, didn't think photo would even turn out.
Something really had the geese in an uproar at the far end of the lake, but when I called,Mr/Mrs.Cangoos answered me from the safety of my bay,(hidden in the cattails), they promptly came out of hiding, , in the 1st pic he is calling back to the other geese, Pic #4 is Mr. checking to make sure it's really me, then they motored right on in at high speed!! To within 5 ft of me tonight! The last pic is Mr CG looking at me as much to say, 'what, you're not staying with us???'
Wow...this was the highlight of my morning walk....& proof there is still fish in the little lake...Big Blue caught a catfish! Nice size too...He mde sure he didn't leave any scraps behind!!..I need to take lessons from him on fishing......
