Singing from what seems to be floor of a thin mature forest edge between a suburban neighbourhood and a ~15 year old young forest. Also made "whip-whip-whip-whip" calls of 3-4 repetitions.
First thought wood thrush, then was dissuaded by the example songs on eBird, then encouraged again by iNat recordings. Reinforced by BirdNET saying wood thrush with near total confidence.
