Foraging on Gray Rabbitbrush. Note parasitic larvae attached, triungulins, which are larvae of oil and blister beetles. Larvae are transported by the bee back to the nest where they remain and devour bee larvae and pollen stores.

Full bloom. Expecting record heat this weekend, so will try to see how they did in a few days--perhaps they'll be pollinated because they are one of the few things blooming now in the sage steppe.
