Marked with an “H”, We named the turtle “Harvey”
This owl has been hanging around my farm the last few days.
Nesting on road shpulder
Big guy was out on the middle of the road, almost got squashed. Safely moved to his intended destination. Was in a bit of a rush and only now realised I didn't get a good picture of his face. He had the distinctive blanding's yellow chin though so I'm confident in the id.
Found crossing the road
Plant grows vine-like in alder floodplain. Stem similar to Virginia creeper, with bristle-like thorns. Greenbrier is a guess. Have not seen it fruit.
