Tundra vole eating sunflower seeds early morning. A Grey-sided vole came by, but returned almost instantly, and came back a little later.

The nights gets darker and IR is activated more often. Video snaps from Trailcam 850 nm near-IR. This wavelength gives better contrast than 940 nm IR. But the red glow from 850 nm IR scares more animals.
A little wet Northern redback after some rain. Also some moist on the optics. Trailcam video snaps.
When the Northern redback is not disturbed by birds, it too can sit quietly and eat for a while. This one at least sat quietly from about 03:29 to 03:32 CEST.
