Volcano-style hills with soil falling equally on all sides, not fan-shaped as with Gophers.
Striped skunk moving backward, right to left, in a defensive posture.

Note faint chevron of fur impressions in the heelpad area. Very close to an equally fresh rabbit trail (see last image.)
Scat was dense, with fine rodent or rabbit fur, no large bone fragments. No grass or seeds. Light scraping of soil underneath.
Adult AND juvenile mountain lion tracks going to and from the river!
Earth Native tracking trip at BBNP
ID for the smaller tracks. Larger tracks are raccoon.
Medium confidence. Not the clearest track, but I think sufficient detail is here. Two proximal pads are visible. Five, stubby digits, spaced close together, claw marks visible. Right front? @beartracker @ollerton
All 4 feet are visible, arranged in a compact, trapezoidal pattern. Tracks were only a few feet away from wire fence, facing directly away from wire and post fence. We thought initially cat jumped fence and landed compactly here. But the toes of the front tracks are not splayed, so perhaps it was merely crouched here. Nothing at the site indicated it had to have come from the other side of the fence. We failed to check fence top for hairs.
Property owners are seeing an increase in black bear activity after clearing a portion of the nearby development.
Seen while deer hunting, Looks to be a young cat considering stride and track size. Seemed to be lightly bleeding, photo #2 shows blood on left side next to track and we saw this a few times.
