Basking on a float
Three bull elk observed grazing in a private field.
Red patch on head with white underneath. Walked with likely partner or offspring. Unfortunately low quality image due to moving in a car (passenger side) while attempting to take a photo after having slown down. Typical shape of leg movements for a sandhill crane. In an urban habitat close to a doctor's office and homes in the Jupiter region. Distribution is throughout most of Florida according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Suspected to be a sandhill crane due to them being monogamous and walking with their offspring if not partners.
