With Don Fraser and Stefanie Herrera; the first visit for each of them, and only my third visit -- all in the past seven days! We walked some of the nature trail clockwise, then cut through the wetland and the hammock to the powerline cut, then went north almost to the far northern fenceline then cut southwest through the flatwoods to the fenceline that leads back to the parking lot. We spent much time in the recently-burned flatwoods west of the powerline cut, since the Clusterspike False Indigo -- a plant I did not know eight days ago -- was in bloom and lots of insects were nectaring on the flowers. The weather at the start was sunny, 63 degrees ("feels like" 63), and breezy; it heated up considerably by the end. We left at 1255; Don and I headed to Appleby's for lunch.
