A few chickadees danced around the branches, one stopping for a moment to eat something among the leaves. The little guy had to stretch out its neck to reach what it was after.
Marita Payne Pond is home to a vast array of birds. Just how many species are found here is still unknown. Most take up residence in the dense tree cover, which I have yet to explore. Sometimes, I'll get a glimpse of this bird life, always wanting more. So, I take my camera and into the forest I will go.
It honked like an adult, but the flanks and wings still looked like a juvenile's.
