319A. Tiny liverwort with Radula complanata on vertical calcareous rock. Shoots 0.5-0.7 mm wide. Incubous, complicate bilobed. Leaf lobe ovate with acute apex; lobule beneath, inflated, 1-2 apical teeth (4,5). Cells with conical papillae (6,7). Oil bodies 2-8 per cell (8). Underleaves absent.

On boulder on shore of Hudson. Dull green 1mm wide shoots. Round dorsal lobes, ventral lobes helmet shaped, wide mouthed, attached to the dorsal lobes by a small stalk. Underleaves, bilobed 2x the width of stem. (photo 6) Perianths have 3 blunt angles abruptly narrowed to a short beak (photo 2-4)
