Found on my scalp after a walk with my dog (who did not get any ticks). Coordinates approximate since I'm unsure where exactly she hitched a hide from.

Removed by spraying with tea tree oil spray then sliding off with a Tick Key. First noticed at the Australian Garden but had also visited Casey Fields Criterium Circuit and did walk briefly across the grass there.
Field Notes - tick 1 to 2mm. Arachnida. I think family Ixodidae. not paralysis tick . Hard shell but short snout.
