There were a lot of these on the beach at San Francisco. They would all fly away in a group and land about 10 feet away if anyone walked by.
I think it is some type of gardener snake. Not sure though.

Observed 2:30pm near Mitchell Rock.
I guess this is a Hermit Thrush given the season, but I suppose a migrating Swainson's is a possibility. I have trouble with these species. There don't seem to be any surefire morphological differences.
Purple-tipped tentacles make this is A. sol according to the key in Light's, but the radial lines are so faint... Disc ~20 cm in diameter.

My daughter saved this lizard in our yard today from our cat. It seemed fine and ran under some rocks after she set it down.
we found this in our house and can not identify it.

A large lizard (around 10 inches) found on tree trunk outside of Copeland Soldier Service Center. Very fast and wary when I approached.
Found this guy on the beach - in the water where the waves hit the sand. Took him and put him into the bushes.
