Amanita pseudovolvata Cap 4.5cm wide stem 8cm long bulb another 1-1.5cm tall. Stem about 8.5mm wide at the center and tapering to the Apex. No ring. Hairy patches on the cap. Striate margin. Appearing to bruise reddish on the stem, bug holes, cap, and volva. Found in hardwoods (Maple, beech, oak, etc).

Based on the photo above and the suggestiions I believe its Trametes Elegans. This photo was taken in Mandersfiled preserve along a walking trail. I noticed the bottom the tree which looked like White Oak seemed to have an interesting Fungi attachef it. It’s possible the whole tree is infected with this bit only showing.
