With a broken wing. I was able, thanks to a tip from a colleague, to bring a local raptor rehabilitator to the site, who netted and sedated the bird for transport to Tufts Wlidlife Center for surgery and recovery. I know this species is fairly common, but I couldn't leave this beautiful owl to die when it still has a good chance to recover. It was otherwise still in good shape. I was lucky to find it soon after its injury.

My iPhone ID & Google image says it’s a Green Stink Bug. My local extension says when these are small they are black. Or is it a Green Shield Bug? I’m not finding a lot online that looks like this one. Thanks
