Day 4
Just one pretty little flower, the rest of the plant was mostly gone to seed.

Day 7
Backyard Birds today. This beauty is a regular at the bird bath, suet and peanut feeders. He has a mate and they often arrive together. He lets out a loud PIP when he's flying in, so I know to look for him. Such beautiful birds and they have very nice manners.

Day 7
Backyard birds today. Only a couple because it's been a busy day. Chickadees are so sweet and playful and curious. They will eat peanuts from my hand on special occasions. Probably the most trusting of all my birdies. I love their high pitched "Cheeseburger" call and their cute little masks. Every year a family nests in the backyard apple tree.

Day 9, the last day
Tons of frogs all over. I took pics from one spot of all the guys I could spot around me.
Clematis vining through the Toyon shrub
iNat suggested that the basal leaves in photo 4 are also C. vulgare, but I don't think I've seen leaves like that with this species. If anyone knows one way or the other, I'd appreciate your thoughts.
