Grown from seed and planted
Raised from wild eggs, released once they were adults
In Flinton, Ontario, we captured what we thought was a dying pine imperial moth and brought it home to Newmarket to pin... on the way it laid 104 eggs!
We fed and nurtured this brood (in Newmarket) through a full life cycle. Pictured is one of the first few of the offspring to emerge. Seven released, seventy-something to go!
