My 7-year-old daughter spotted this next to the courthouse. Near Maple and Pine.
Ecology: Large cluster beneath Tsuga heterophylla and Picea sitchensis
Caps: 4-12 cm, orange, with inrolled margins, smooth, viscid, umbonate when expanded
Gills: Whitish buff initially, notched to free, close
Stalks: Upper portion 4-6cm, giving way to long downwardly tapering "root" penetrating the substrate deeply. Pinkish buff above becoming reddish brown
Odor: Farinaceous
Taste: Disagreeably farinaceous
Spore print: Cinnamon brown
