Growing in a wash in an area composed of red sandstone capped by younger basalt flow. Cool cave in the area. 2 oak species, Pinion, a penstemon and Juniperus osteosperma
!! Keyed to A. debequaeus with Ackerfield 2022. Leaves and stems glabrous, stipules not connate, calyx with tiny sparse black basifixed hairs. Last years leaves and leaf rachises still present. No fruit yet. Flowers white/ochre with purple on the keel. Calyx 6mm. Flower ~mm. Sandy calcareous soils with volcanic alluvium. On south facing slope above drainage with juniper and ARTR2. Help???
