Sat down on the ridge in Julia Pfeiffer at the start of the Waters Trail off of the Ewoldsen Trail loop and saw that there were two condors soaring ahead. After a few minutes one flew towards me, passing directly overhead at just 10-20 ft (checking to see if I was carrion?). The flyby was close enough that I clearly heard the woosh. Wing tag was white, possibly number 16 (was struck by the presence of the bird and didn't read carefully). This photo was taken a few minutes after the birds moved on from the area, but shows the location...
Buds in November!
