A solo visit after getting my car diagnosed at Firestone. The weather at the start was sunny, 82 degrees ("feels like" 89), and breezy. I did not record the weather at the end, but it was sunny, hot, and breezy. Some of my photographs from today are a bit blurry -- I delete really out-of-focus images -- due to the wind. I made six stops and have sorted my camera images accordingly:
1014-1044: the thistle pond along Rattlesnake Camp Road. Very few blooming thistles remain, so consequently, butterfly numbers were much decreased (15 skippers [mostly Twin-spot], 2 swallowtails, 1 Cloudless Sulphur, and 1 Gulf Fritillary), plus 1 Larger Florida Mantis. I saw no water remaining in the pond.
1101-1110: the Dukes' Skipper spot along the west side of 3 Bridges Road, not far north of Rattlesnake Camp Road. Very few skippers were here, none of them Dukes.'
1117-1125: The east side 3 Bridges Road at the SCUBA parking lot. Several skippers were here.
1140-1207: the west side of 3 Bridges Road opposite its intersection with Thunder's Crossing Road. I examined dozens of Coastal Plain Honeycombhead plants for flower moths, finding none! (But I did find one Bleeding Flower Moth on a Coastal Plain Chaffhead).
1218-1234: the east side of 3 Bridges Road around the American Kestrel nestbox. I examined dozens of Coastal Plain Honeycombhead plants for flower moths, finding none! There were only a few "Seminole" Dotted Skippers here.
1239-1320: the west side of 3 Bridges Road at the American Kestrel nestbox. I examined dozens of Liatris stalks for flower moths, finding none. A few skippers were here, including 2 "Seminole" Dotted Skippers and a Palmetto Skipper. Also, I found 7 Green Lynx Spiders guarding their egg-cases in a small section of sandhill in less than 5 minutes! It was pretty crazy!
I left at 1332 and headed home. Workers were grading Thunder's Crossing Road.

Bad picture but nearly 30 adults and 5 pupae sampled today. Estimated 50 spotted in 2 hours
Recently introduced species. First US records are from 2020. Tiny but exquisite.
@scubabruin, I think I finally found one, just steps from the beach...
