This remains Washington's only record of Great Black-backed Gull through August 2024. It was found on 12 January 2004 by Gene Hunn.

The Beach was filled with nesting individuals ( Second photo). Lots of banded ones. CAN NOT UNDERSTAND the ENTITLEMENT of Dog Owners that, even leashed, walk their dog's on Known Plover Overwintering Sites!
there was a group of about 20 snowy plovers and at least 14 of them had bands on them. There was also a sanderling in with them that was not banded.
